About

I’m Jenia Barabanov, and I go by Jeb.

Past a certain scale, engineering problems stop being technical.

Work

These days I’m at HoneyBook, leading engineering enablement across the org — shared standards, developer tooling, and the practices that decide whether AI-assisted code is still worth having later. Before that, Wix, Philips and Intel, and a games studio before any of it.

One person is still limited, even with AI, and getting a team to work on one goal without pulling in different directions is the trickiest part of engineering. That’s what I do for a living. If I hit a problem today, someone else will hit it tomorrow, so I open-source the fix when the terms permit (Projects has the ones I still maintain) or write a post that explains it.

I’m currently working in AI: multi-agentic systems, harnesses for SMBs, AI enablement in the org, reducing AI costs, building company brains. For now this is where the challenge lies, and this is where I invest my efforts.
